Being in the avant-garde of its industry, Sansiri has joined forces with social enterprise Root The Future to present promising alternatives to our environmentally destructive habits is a plant-based and sustainability festival—the largest one ever in Asia, in fact. Started yesterday on October 17, the event at Sansiri Backyard on On Nut saw over 60 vendors and booths, all with the same mission of sustainability for a better future. Taking place again this afternoon at 2pm, there will be plenty of eye-opening activities and curious vegan cuisines once again.Â

More than just a food festival, with the festival, Root The Future’s core goal to spread the words of sustainability through educating, advocating and entertaining. This is evidenced with panel talks on vital issues such as waste, plastic, vegan health, nutrition and more. This is because the founders of Root The Future, Max and Joanna Hellier, and Sansiri’s chief of green, Jariya Janjerdsak stand on common ground in their view for the future. Jariya, a green-hearted architect, is responsible for ensuring each and every project under Sansiri is environmentally safe for tenants and also for the surrounding community. As for Max and Joanna, Root The Future was founded as a platform to advocate for urgent action to alleviate climate change.Â
