Japanese artist and frequent fashion collaborator, Takashi Murakami, has partnered up with Hublot, bringing his iconic smiling flower motif to the Classic Fusion watch dial. Contrary to the typical multicoloured appearance of Murakami’s flowers that we’re used to seeing, the icon will appear in monochrome on the watch, manifested through a luxurious gleam of hundreds of black diamonds. In total, 456 brilliant-cut black diamonds and 107 more cut diamonds are used on the face.

While the dial is fixed to the sapphire glass, thanks to a ball-bearing system created by Hublot’s engineers, the petals are mobile. The watch is powered by an automatic movement. With a black ceramic case and rubber strap, the twirling petals express a fanciful touch to the monochromatic watch.
