Blue By Alain Ducasse Scores 1 Michelin Star | Thailand Tatler

One year after its highly anticipated launch, Blue by Alain Ducasse at ICONSIAM is now a one Michelin star restaurant, the fourth edition of the Michelin Guide Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Phang-Nga has just announced.

Located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, Blue is the first restaurant in Thailand founded by one of the world’s most decorated chefs, Alain Ducasse. The restaurant serves a contemporary French menu, using sublime ingredients and infallible techniques, and the cuisine has been designed to go hand-in-hand with the service and unique atmosphere.

“To be awarded a Michelin star is an amazing endorsement of the hard work put in by both our culinary team and front-of-house service staff.  It is also a fantastic validation of our commitment to delivering an exquisite culinary experience to our guests,” says executive chef Wilfrid Hocquet.

The Michelin star is the second major accolade for Blue this month after having been recognised for its interiors by the prestigious Interior Design’s Best of Year Awards in the Fine Dining category. Indeed Blue’s decor is a pride of chef Alain Ducasse, who believes that the excellence of a restaurant is reflected by the total experience created for patrons.
