Tell us about a standout outfit you’ve worn recently. Where did you wear it and why did you choose it?
I think it would be the Giambattista Valli Couture dress I wore to the Giambattista Valli 10th anniversary celebration at the Paris Opera, Palais Garnier.
Who are your favourite designers and/or style icons?
I like Giambattista Valli because their designs are quite classic and timeless, while at the same time very modern. Usually with their designs, I don’t have to alter anything except for perhaps the length, as the other parts fit perfectly. I think their silhouette suits asian figures well. As for a style icon, I like Jackie Kennedy’s sister, Lee Radziwill.
Do you collect any accessories, clothing or brands? What kind and why?
I don’t, but I tend to gravitate towards something that’s modern classic.

Tell us about a standout outfit you’ve worn recently. Where did you wear it and why did you choose it?
I’ve recently worn a dress by Zimmerman to the Tatler Ball and the Louis Vuitton Time Capsule exhibition. The dress is made of lace and the bottom skirt has an asymmetrical cut. The dress has a nude tone, is very sweet and has great details like lace connecting the open-shoulder to the rest of the dress. I have loved it ever since I first saw it on the runway, and so I decided to import Zimmerman for the first season.
Who are your favourite designers and/or style icons?
Giambattista Valli would be my all-time favourite designer. As we are the importer of Giambattista Valli, we get to see his progress through years of his collections and his skills and creativity are so apparent in his work. As for style icons, it’s definitely Céline’s Phoebe Philo. I like her creativity and design work. There is a sense of stillness that both she and the garments exude. I don’t, however, often wear Céline because I feel that it’s more suited to tall, cool women.
Do you collect any accessories, clothing or brands? What kind and why?
I don’t collect any particular brands, but I do have a lot of brands that are imported by Beige. Generally, I appreciate everything, be they clothes or accessories.
After almost a decade with Christian Dior as general manager, Sirisopa is now writing a new chapter of her life. She is now focusing on the Nara Thai restaurant group and the multi-fashion brand boutique Beige, both of which she is a partner. Tell us about a standout outfit you’ve worn recently. Where did you wear it and why did you choose it?
I would say the dress I wore during the photoshoot for Chanel. It was a long, feathered skirt paired with a shirt-blouse and accessories. When I saw the skirt for the first time, I instantly fell in love with it. I thought it didn’t quite suit me at first, as the skirt was originally worn with a Chanel jacket on the runway. But when I paired it with a blouse during the photoshoot, it was perfect.
Who are your favourite designers and/or style icons?
I don’t have a favorite designer. I like beautiful things, and I’m not attached to a particular brand. Mostly I buy things that suit me which I like—even from Korean fashion brands or dip-dyed clothes. Since I don’t have a modelesque figure, I don’t relate to any particular style icon as they mostly have different body types to mine.
Do you collect any accessories, clothing or brands? What kind and why?I love long dresses and evening gowns. Whenever I see a dress that catches my eye, especially when it has been marked down, I would buy it so that I have one ready to use when an occasion calls for. Sometimes I even wear them at parties at home. I don’t really collect costume jewellery, as I prefer vintage to trendy pieces. With bags it’s the same. I don’t own Chanel bags or other iconic bags. My evening bags tend to be different than other people’s. I focus more on the design and uniqueness. For instance, I love Hermès vintage canvas model, which has been out of production for over 20 years. I also like vintage Ferragamo, although I don’t go out of my way to search for these item.

Tell us about a standout outfit you’ve worn recently. Where did you wear it and why did you choose it?
I think it would be the Thai Dusit dress I wore to a friend’s wedding in India. The wedding lasted for three days and required five dresses, one of which was a national dress. Hence I went to Rapee (a well-established dressmaking institute since 1950) to get a Thai dress tailored. The owner is a good friend of our family and was incredibly helpful with the process. The dress itself is cap-sleeved with a shoulder cape (sbai) trailing at the back. I chose this dress because of its beautiful details, and also because it’s not often that I get the chance to wear a national costume and have my hair done up in a traditional Thai tiara (ratklao).
Who are your favourite designers and/or style icons?
I would say my mother as I always seek advice from her, from choosing the right colours to jewellery— which I often borrow from her. When it comes to dressing etiquette, I like to seek advice from someone with more experience. I remember my mum visiting the tailor’s ever since I was young.
Do you collect any accessories, clothing or brands? What kind and why?
I tend to buy items of clothing more than jewellery. Compared to accessories such as bags, I feel that clothes are more connected to us as we wear them directly on the body. I feel that each piece is like an artwork in itself, and so I’m interested in items that are beautiful and strange, and interesting designs. The good thing is that with age, we know our own style better, from what we like and what suits us—the individual style becomes more defined.

Onchuma is the executive of the family-owned Mazuma company, distributor of Iceland Water H2O Hydra. She also runs the collateralised lenders chain, Me Money. Tell us about a standout outfit you’ve worn recently. Where did you wear it and why did you choose it?
It’s really hard to choose, but I like to choose the right clothes for the right occasion. So I would say that the dress that won me the Best Dressed award at the 2017 Tatler Ball was one which stood out to me. As the theme was llustrious Pearls, I wanted to honour the dress code and went with a pearl embroidered Poem couture dress. I received the Best Dressed Woman of the night award at the 2017 Tatler Ball, which I received because I have dressed accordingly to the theme.
Who are your favourite designers and/or style icons?
I often turn to Chanel, Carolina Herrera, Lanvin and Pucci for work, while for something more casual, I like Philip Lim, Missoni, Céline and Victoria Beckham. I also wear Thai brands, from Asava to Patinya, Victeerut and Vela De, and for evening dresses I look to Poem Couture and Ananya Couture—which I wore during my wedding as I walked down the isle and for my first dance. The cut was truly amazing. Vela De also has a really cool cut, while Poem Couture’s tailoring gives you a beautiful silhouette.
Do you collect any accessories, clothing or brands? What kind and why?
I don’t collect ‘it’ items per se. I prefer something timeless and elegant. I do have a passion for beautiful collectibles. Other than shoes, bags and scarves, I love accessories, especially jewellery. Lately I’ve been wearing the Bulgari Serpenti, which can be paired with a working jacket or mixed with sleeveless blouses and jeans.

Tell us about a standout outfit you’ve worn recently. Where did you wear it and why did you choose it?
That would be the dress I wore last Christmas. It was a Lanvin dress made of green velvet with lace on the top part, and it had a plunging backline. Jade green is a shade which I am partial to, and this dress is of quite a perfect shade. The dress itself is quite classic, with a play on the silhouette; while the front look conservative with a pencil skirt cut that falls just over the knees, the lower back is opened. The velvet itself is sightly crushed, so you have all these details coming together.

“I don’t really have one. I do have a few brands which I particularly like—Chanel, Azzedine Alaïa and Missoni, for instance, as their style are quite classic. I don’t like clothes that are too trendy or seasonal and prefers ones where you can’t tell which season they’re from.”

The dress was made by a talented young designer, Aller De L’avant by Wivat Khamgate, which I wore to the Louis Vuitton Time capsule event. I fell in love with it ever since I first saw it in photos.

When it comes to designers, Christian Lacroix is my all-time favourite, as well as Dries van Noten.

I have a collection of vintage Pucci. I love the prints and colours of their vintage designs. Other than that, I don’t collect anything anymore. Nowadays I just buy what I really love.

The dress which I’ve most recently worn was a nude pink gown by Armani Privé, which I wore to the wedding of Voramas Srivaddhanaprabha and Ravi Itiravivong at the Pullman Bangkok King Power Hotel in December. I chose this dress because of its simple yet chic design. The dress is elegant and sweet, adorned with pale pink lace, which I thought was very fitting for the wedding.
Who are your favourite designers and style icons?
Personally, I quite like Thai designers as they are very talented and creative. Their designs are worthy of international recognition—look at Tirapan Wannarat or Polpat Asavaprapha of ASAVA. I think Thai designers naturally understand the needs of Thai customers because we share the same tradition, culture and lifestyle and are able to create designs that are best suited to our cultural context and identity. As for my style icon, the biggest fashion inspiration for me comes from Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. Every dress worn by Her Majesty is made mainly from Thai silk and each outfit is simply full of grace. Renowned internationally as one of the best dressed ladies in the world, I think that she is the best style icon for Thai women.

I like jewellery from many brands and one type of jewellery I can’t go without is earrings, which I have been collecting for over 30 years. I think earrings are a crucial compliment to one’s face, and I alway choose a pair that matches my outfit for the day.

It would be the black Saint Laurent blazer. I like working clothes that are comfortable and well-tailored, and I find Saint Laurent’s tailoring simple and neat.

I don’t have a brand that I like in particular as I have different pieces from different brands and collect what suits me for each occasion. I often, however, look to my mum as a style icon. I grew up seeing my mum dressing up for work, and as a working woman she’s always wearing beautiful suits.

I collect vintage watches, men’s—always. I feel like I have a large wrist and build compared to other ladies, so I feel that women’s watches are not well-suited to my style. With men’s watch, you don’t have to be overly careful with them. What I also love about men’s watches is that each has a history of its own and serve as both accessories and investments.
