Major Cineplex and AirPay are offering film junkies a special experience with the Major Cineplex Drive-in Theater @CentralFestival EastVille. Bringing back the old-time American pastime in 2020, the cinema will screen three films on the third floor of the Central EastVille parking lot. The rare occasion will only last from July 3 until July 5 for limited numbers of cars.Â
On July 3-5, drive-in moviegoers will enjoy the critically acclaimed Japanese animated fantasy-romance Your Name, Damien Chazelle’s Whiplash with Miles Teller and Jk Simmons and Begin Again, a sappy musical romance starring Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo. Drive-in opens at 6pm daily, and the screenings will proceed at 7pm.Â
There will be “roller-boys” and “roller-girls” on the floor selling Singha mineral water, Coca-Cola and even Mybacin lozenges from Greater Pharma for the unlikely case of a sore throat (or more likely need for good breath, if you catch our drift). Of course, the experience wouldn’t be complete without popcorn. You can get free popcorn for two by simply downloading the AirPay application and showing it to the staff.Â
