“I lived in the city in Australia and fell in love with its languid atmosphere,” said Hoshi, co-founder of Woolloomooloo Cafe. “The town is always active with different artistic activities and is packed with galleries and cute cafes,” she added. Combining her longstanding love for art and cooking and a dream to open a cafe tributing her favourite city in Australia, Hoshi and her boyfriend gave birth to a fantastically minimalist locale off Ratchadapisek road.

Woolloomooloo finds itself in a quaint neighbourhood around Vibhavadi Rangsit 16. Stepping into the cafe transports you into the pages of Kinfolk or similar minimalist magazines that have a tranquilising effect. Cigarettes After Sex plays in the background, while curated sequences from arthouse films or music videos are projected onto a white wall. Tabled sparingly, the place may not be the best place to work, but it is a perfect spot to go with a friend or two to chill.
White sangria and Earl Grey honey milk tea
Starting with beverages, Woolloomooloo has a stylish selection to offer. For something light and refreshing, order the yuzu tea or white sangria for a subtle mood boost. The signature Earl Grey honey milk tea is also something to look forward to with its charming and smooth aromatic blend.
Cold Spaghetti
Now refreshed and ready for something savoury, definitely try the recommended cold spaghetti with pesto sauce. Light yet satiating, the dish is an entertainment to the mouth with its familiar savoury flavours and textures but unique temperature.
Afterwards, sweet tooths cannot miss the array of pastries and desserts offered at this cafe. Served with thick cream, the terrine cheese is a soft but dense treat for indulgement. Prefer something lighter? Try the crisp, glazed lemon cake. The pastry is the perfect teatime snack with its crumbly texture. The lemon zest infused batter uplifts the mood magically.
