When we say New York, two things come to mind: Manhattan and fashion. In general, walking the streets of New York feels like a runway in itself, so you can imagine how strong the energy is during New York Fashion Week. The fashion industry consists of glorious designers, sophisticated models and intelligent fashion managers and respectable guests, and they all make an entrance during NYFW. Examing this year’s event, we’ve unearthed some of the top fashion trends we’ll all be following shortly. Here they are: Â
Bright ColoursÂ

Bright colours are usually the best kind if you’re more of a daytime person. It does get hard when there’s so much to choose from and given how vibrant each of these colours makes you look. During NYFW 18, we spotted a lot of yellow and light pink, and can we just take a moment to appreciate how gorgeous these colours look? These looks can be used for almost everything: a casual stroll down the streets or even a formal tea party. That’s what makes them so special.
Black On Black

One thing’s for sure: you can never go wrong with black on black because of the many wonders it possesses. Black is one colour you could use for something formal and something casual, too, just like these two looks are apparently contradicting. On one side, we see a black hoodie and ripped jeans, which look casually brilliant, and on the other, we see a rather formal and stylish look that is topped off with red lipstick. Isn’t it brilliant how this colour works?
 Street Style

The most-talked-about style this year is, of course, street style. With so many brands following this trend this year, how could we not spot it at NYFW 2018? From joggers to oversized shirts or simply neon shades, when we talk street style, we know every look definitely screams fashionable. The fun thing about street style is that you can literally use the same look from day to night and still look equally cool.
 Suit Yourself

Women in suits are absolutely a dream come true. Many years ago, seeing a woman rock a suit would be something unexpected, or something you’d see once in a blue moon. Recently, it’s become commonplace, and let’s be real: women are doing it just as well as men do. Suits have become an absolutely normal look to opt for, and there are an innumerable number of choices. New York, being one of the greatest capitals of fashion in the world, had some ladies rocking the suit look during NYFW 2018.
Denim Never Dies

 It’s been making an appearance for many years now and we’re sure it will never die because denim simply never dies. Whether it’s jeans, shorts, skirts, or a denim jacket, they always create wonders because they are so easy to pair with absolutely everything. You could wear ripped denim jeans with a white T-shirt, or a bralette, white jeans and a denim jacket and still look equally impeccable. That’s the power of denim.
