For many of us, toilet trips are usually a not-so-glamorous regular inconvenience. No one chooses to go to the toilet—unless the bathroom has been so aesthetically thought out it feels like it deserves to be on Pinterest. We went on the hunt for luxury loos in the city that go way beyond the call of duty. Here are our picks:

If you don’t visit the King Power MahaNakohn for the views, or the food, or the duty-free shopping, then definitely visit it for its lavatory. Their newly opened restaurant boasts to offer the highest dining experience in Bangkok, and their bathroom sits even higher. French interior designer Tristan Auer was the mastermind behind the stunning chic design that features dressing tables, handbag ledges and exquisite lighting.

Loos with views are a growing phenomenon around the world and especially in a sky-scraper city like Bangkok. Sukhumvit’s Above Eleven offers spectacular views of the skyline that satisfy even the fussiest of sight seekers—and we aren’t talking about the view from the bar. Their futuristic bathrooms allow you to wash your hands without missing out on any of the action.

If one can help it, one tends to avoid mall toilets. Not these ones, though. The restrooms at the Zone Sook Siam in Iconsiam are truly a sight to behold. Each restroom showcases elements of Thai art and architecture as well as Thai-inspired wall paintings done by Hooker’s Green artists.

There are many reasons to visit Silom’s Grecian gem, Aesop’s. Not only do they serve up delicious authentic Greek food and allow you to smash plates on the floor in true Greek fashion, but their bathrooms are also a must-visit spectacular.  The Athenian-inspired restroom features a beautiful stone water basin and a real-life tree that stands tall between the God’s and Goddess’ toilets.

If you’ve ever been to lebua, you’ll know they rarely do things in half measures. The developers of this five-star hotel thought of every design aspect of this extravagant building, including its toilets. Located in the champagne bar of dreams—Pink Bar—are dreamy, fantasy-like toilets just waiting to be papped.
