Thai Comfort Food From Rosduan By Rongros | Thailand Tatler

Sansiri’s Ou Nopadon Baholyodhin’s latest brainchild, Rongros, is now delivering scrumptious Thai dishes to your homes under the sub-brand Rosduan. A wordplay with historical depth, the name Rongros literally means ‘place of flavours’ and is a homophone to the word for ‘garage’, which was exactly what the location at Tha Tien used to be. Rosduan is also meant to be a pun between ‘fast flavour’ and ‘fast car’. As the name suggests, delicious comfort foods for the Thai palate will be delivered speedily to you.

Following its mother brand’s notion to present diners with nostalgic tastes, Rosduan’s menu consists mainly of fried rice and other basic Thai dishes but, of course, with the unconventional twist here and there.

Definitely try the khao poon, or spicy stir-fried vermicelli topped with fried salmon for something a little special. This dish will surely satisfy Thai tongues with an appetite for chili. With choices ranging from the classic style with egg, the fried rice here includes more daring variation like the pla-la or fermented fish fried rice. The infamous aroma of the aged ingredient is not overpowering, just the right intensity, so fret not.
