Antonio Citterio
Specialising in sofas, Flexform boasts a long history with celebrated designers contributing to its fame. Back in 1969, Joe Colombo designed the iconic Tube Chair, while in the 70s the brand’s signature Maxi Chair was created by Cini Boeri. Today, Antonio Citterio heads the house. Born in Meda, Citterio’s career flourished since 1987 when he partnered with Terry Dawn and designed buildings in Europe and Japan. In 2008, he was named an honourary “Royal Designer for Industry” by the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce, and today he is designing the iconic Romeo sofa for Flexform.
