May 17 saw The St Regis Bangkok Hotel’s Astor Ballroom stylishly decked out under the theme of ‘Manhattan Flair’, as Bangkok’s elites gathered for The St Regis Bangkok charity gala and auction, the highly anticipated annual event that brings Bangkok’s best names together for a good cause. Since the event’s debut in 2013, proceeds from the event have gone to support a variety of worthy causes, nominated on an annual basis by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. This year saw the largest charitable donation collected so far from the event—over 40 million baht—which went to support the Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Foundation for the Faculty of Arts at Chulalongkorn University.

VIP guests, such as Khunying Jada Wattanasiritham, ML Piyapas Bhirombhakdi and Pattriya Na Nakorn,  enjoyed a night of world-class entertainment and delectable cuisine, from jazz performances to a thrilling New York Cabaret performance by Daran Zeththinich Chanavarasutthisiri of The Face Season 3, as well as performances by Neung Jakkawal and Mahalia Barnes. Executive chef of The St Regis New York Mark Arnao was flown in for the event to prepare a special meal, adding to the evening's evocation of Big Apple culture.
