Ying Kantaluk Hongladarom was the epitome of grace and elegance when we met for our November issue cover shoot. The 47-year-old arrived at the luxurious The Diplomat 39 condominium looking cool and casual in a white shirt and jeans and throughout the day she showed the same sense of élan as she rocked pieces of jewellery by Chanel and posed effortlessly for the camera in outfits by the likes of Prada, Dior and Ralph Lauren.
Having studied in Australia, Switzerland and the United States and worked for international financial powerhouses such as Goldman Sachs in New York and SGV-Arthur Andersen in Bangkok, this well-travelled working mother is very much a citizen of the world. A self-confessed lover of art and design, she was relaxed and eloquent when talking about her upbringing, career and philosophies for life. And before the day was out she showed her down-to-earth side by happily pitching in to put pieces of furniture and decorative objects appropriated for the photo shoot back in their original positions.
