On the weekend of August 31 to September 1, Thailand Tatler unveiled our annual Generation T list. Comprised of 50 bright luminaries aged under 40, the list recognises passionate talents, from artists and entertainers to scientists, PR gurus and philanthropists—all who share the same drive and potential of being leaders of tomorrow. For those of you who missed out on the party, here’s the lowdown on what happened over the most game-changing weekend of the year.
It wasn’t in Bangkok.

Surprise surprise, this year we went all out and incorporated a beach getaway to our annual launch party. From HUBBA’s Amarit Charoenphan to the fabulous drag queen Pan Pan Narkprasert, Bangkok’s bright young luminaries gathered at the Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin for a weekend of chill networking.

With Vana Nava Water Jungle just steps away from the hotel, of course we had to fit it into the schedule. Even Thailand Tatler’s chairman Nigel Oakins was spotted eyeing the ‘Abyss’—AKA Thailand’s largest water slide.
Clé de Peau Beauté was our resident makeup artist.
Guests who weren’t that into plummeting down the Aqualoop could opt for an exclusive spa by Clé de Peau Beauté. The luxury makeup and skincare brand even had a booth at the evening reception for touch ups during the party.
Pangina Heals came in full drag.
Complete with stunning glitter-nail gloves and drag queen gown. If there was a best-dressed list, Pangina Heals would be number one, hands-down.
—And then suddenly transformed mid-party back into Pan Pan Narkprasert.
Wait, what? Also, how can Pan Pan look so charming regardless of attire?
Editor-in-chief Naphalai Areesorn showed up in full denim.
Of course, for an event as hip as the Generation T launch, one expects nothing less of our ever-fashionable editor-in-chief. Proving that denim is indeed timelessly stylish and that she can pull off anything, from head-to-toe head couture to sophisticated denim chic.
We brought Saladaeng’s Vesper Bar with us to Hua Hin.
Only one cocktail was served during the evening reception—a gin-infused cocktail especially curated for us by Vesper Cocktail Bar & Restaurant’s founder Chotipong Leenutaphong. For those who missed it, you can place a special order the next time you visit the bar down at Saladaeng, or learn how to make your own here.
Someone flew in from Hong Kong to be there.
Not just a regular someone, either. Lee Williamson, the regional editor of Generation T himself, personally attended to give an insightful keynote speech. To know what you missed out on, check out our LIVE streaming on our official Facebook Page.
There was a glitter cannon.
A bit of a shock for some of those in attendance. Oops!
