The 2019 Tatler Ball is tonight, and it’s no question that the Tatler Ball is the most fabulous high-society event of a year. Attended by hundreds of Thailand’s most influential and wealthiest, it’s a time of celebration for the Thailand Tatler brand; a time of admiration as the Tatler crowd comes out with their absolute best dress and face forward; and it’s a time of camaraderie as friends gather for dinner, drinks and a night of entertainment.
As you spend the final hours preparing for this grand annual event, here are some of the things to get excited about at this evening’s 28th anniversary ball:
The theme of this year’s Tatler Ball is, of course, “Bohemian Rhapsody: A Night Of Glam Rock”. The most exciting thing about any Tatler Ball is truly to see each and every guest’s interpretation of the dress code. Every year, we award one man and one woman with the title of Best Dressed, a highly competitive and coveted award. So much so in fact that we have had to significantly expand our panel of judges this year.Â

This year, the dinner service offers a vegan course as well, for plant-based guests or those who would like to get into the Chinese vegetarian festival early.Â
What makes the Tatler Ball better than all other balls or high society functions around this time of year? Let me tell you: we’re the only ball where guests actually have fun. Our dance floor is always the talk of the town and with a music-genre themed celebration this year, one can only expect legendary moves from dance-loving hi-so’s. We see you, Khun Suriyon.Â
Every year, besides the impromptu dancing sparked by our own guests and the live band, there is always featured entertainment to look forward to, be it iconic vocal performances or last year’s spicy Latin dancers. This year’s entertainment will be a first in Tatler Ball history and fit to the night’s theme…
The award ceremony is a Tatler Ball tradition. The Oscars of the Thai high society community, if you will. Every year, we announce the Person of the Year, the Couple of the Year, the Most Eligible Man and Woman and the Most Stylish Man and Woman, as well as the Best Dressed Man and Woman of the night. Who will take home the titles this year? We’ll all find out after dessert.Â
This year, we’re also pleased to tease that there will be a very attractive lucky draw for all our guests to participate in. The prize is something we know anyone with the taste for the finer things in life will appreciate. Hint? If you win, you’ll be packing some luggage.Â
