In case you missed it, earlier this week on Tuesday, September 24, we hosted our 28th anniversary ball, the “Bohemian Rhapsody: A Night of Glam Rock” Tatler Ball. Glamourous friends of Thailand Tatler, many of who have been following us since day one, arrived at the Grand Ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Erawan hotel, dressed like rock ‘n’ roll royalty. Parked at the ballroom foyer was a glistening new, dark grey Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe—the S560—the star of the night if you’re counting the number of appearances in photos.Â
At 8pm, guests began taking their seats for a Queen-themed four-course dinner, while a Queen tribute band took to the stage, belting out crowd-favourites like Another One Bites The Dust, Radio Ga Ga, We Are The Champions and, of course, Bohemian Rhapsody. After the “We will, we will CHOC you!” chocolate cake dessert was served, the annual award ceremony took place, followed by an electrifying drag performance by Jai Sira.
Though this was the finale of the planned programme of the ball, our guests, as is Tatler Ball tradition, carried on the night on the dance floor.Â
