In the past, Thailand Tatler was a magazine focused exclusively on the whos and happenings in high society in Thailand. While we are still all about that today, the social climate has changed drastically since 1991 when the magazine began, allowing us to be able to explore more topics and cross more boundaries now as we continue to discuss all things related to society and luxury lifestyle.
In our latest venture to unchartered territories, we collaborated with drag superstar, Pan Pan Narkprasert, AKA Pangina Heals, to invite two other drag queens for a first-time makeover—a Tatler makeover.
The Drag Race Thailand co-host, along with Sukun Dongnoi and Ekaterina Bushueva, joined our team of stylists, makeup artist and photographers last month at The House on Sathorn at the W Bangkok, to transform themselves into “rich heiresses” as Pan Pan put it.
While drag artists are no novice to long hours spent in the makeup chair and being professionally photographed, this was, as intended, an out-of-water experience for the three.
“I want to give these two a new experience that they don’t get everyday as drag queens. That is, to feel stunning, glamorous and pampered in a world they are typically never seen in,” Pan Pan explained in an earlier meeting with Thailand Tatler. Sukun, who you may recognise as current Drag Race Thailand contestant Kandy Zyanide, is a vivacious 25-year-old transgender performer from Chiang Mai, and Ekaterina, originally from Russia, is a single mother and Bangkok-based bio-queen—biological female who embraces the art of drag—named Felicia Heals.
“I think this is going to be opening a lot of people’s minds to what beauty is and the idea of acceptance and being inclusive about the notion of beauty regardless of gender,” says Pan Pan on the day of the shoot, add that “it’s the notion of fantasy—if you really believe in a fantasy enough, you might live it like the three of us are living it today.”

Pan Pan, who is a Thailand Tatler Generation T honouree for his breakthrough in entertainment, is also the first and only drag queen to appear on all eight Asia Tatler Generation T lists.
