A highly anticipated event amongst Thailand’s superyacht community, the four-day Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous (KRSR) returns once again on December 12 to 15. The rendezvous draws the glitziest of guestlists, an impressive social programme and some of the most remarkable superyachts ever to be on display in Asia. This year, a striking fleet of elite yachts is prepared to drop anchor at Kata Rocks for the largest gathering of superyachts at the KRSR to date. The fleet will include the 51m MY Sapphire, 29m SY Dallinghoo Schooner, 32m MY Nymphaea, 24m MY Lobster, 22m SY Warwick Shahtoosh, 24m MY Sanook Princess Yacht and 27m MY Maha Bhetra, to name a few. The KRSR is also pleased to welcome Sunseeker Yachts for the first time this year, to host the inaugural Sunseeker Owners’ dinner.

Read on to learn about what the four-day superyacht extravaganza entails:

Arriving on Thursday, December 12 for the full VIP welcome, guests will be invited to experience the Lobster Yacht Phuket, Thailand’s largest (and coolest) catamaran. Supported by the Seven Marine Phuket, guests will tour off the shores of Kata Rocks on the Lobster from late morning until the afternoon. While soaking up the pristine scenery, voyagers will get to sip on bespoke cocktails and canapes to their heart’s delight while a resident DJ sets up the mood with curated sounds.

InterContinental Phuket Resort

The highly anticipated KRSR beach BBQ returns on Friday, December 13 to a new location at the InterContinental Phuket Resort at Kamala Beach. Surrounded by forested hills, the resort sitting on an exclusive beachfront location poses an idyllic and ideal setting for sitting back and enjoying great food and company. Benetti Yachts has also kindly brought in a pop-up spa for the occasion, for guests to get pampered before or after their jovial feast.

On the following event, Leading Yachts of the World will host a Soiree by the Sea charity gala to support The International SeaKeepers Society and Phuket-based Oceans For All, two environmental organisations dedicated to oceanic research and conservation. For 7,950 baht per person, guests will be entertained with great performances and a wonderful sit-down dinner and wine.

Elephant Parade

For Art Lovers

On the same night, in conjunction with Italian crafts collective Aries Murano, KRSR will be organising a private viewing party of yachting inspired artworks by Italian artists and designers at 5-6:30pm. Continue on with exhibitions of The Fin Arts and the Elephant Parade, two ongoing projects that combine art with animal conservation. While you’re at it, might as well take the time to experience first-class mattresses by International Luxury Living, ideal for private villas and luxury yachts, which will also be on display.
