Continuing a long tradition of collaborations with acclaimed designers, H&M’s latest high fashion collaborator is the UK’s Simone Rocha. The highly anticipated Simone Rocha X H&M collection, set to launch in Thailand next month on March 11, includes a wardrobe for the entire family—menswear, womenswear and childrenswear—a first for the designer, actually. For this collection, Rocha has considered many silhouettes, fabrications, embellishments and influences that define the designer’s romantic world while also introducing new twists. Here’s what to expect.
The absolute must-have from this collection for women are the tulle dresses, available in pinks, tartan and classic black. Other dresses you might want to take a close look at are the special fil couple floral dress with full puff sleeves and day dresses in organic cotton with broderie anglaise detailing. For outerwear, find classic trenches, a special signature pink coat with sparkling tweed and lovely wool cardigans with pearl decoration around the neckline. A rounded collection, the designer has also provided spongy hoodies and joggers and jersey tees embellished with pearls for elevated everyday wear.Â
For Rocha’s menswear debut, outerwear takes centre stage. The reworked trench with pearl embellishments, rounded summer parka, Aran knits and cardigans, classic wool suiting and checked blazer with matching drawstring trousers are a few of the highlights of the collection. Like the womenswear, there are also tees and hoodies in white, pink and black, with some featuring photography by Jacob Lillis, a long-term collaborator of Rocha’s.Â
In the accessories section, find Simone Rocha signatures, notably in footwear. There are brogues with pearl embellishments, feathered ballerinas and slides. Don’t forget to double up on style with socks from the collection. Another thing to definitely keep an eye out for are adornments for the hair and ears; beaded-bow earrings and matching tiaras, romantic headbands and oversized bow hair clips are some of the highlights.
For mums and dads who want to match their Simone Rocha X H&M outfits with their small children, the collection feature miniaturised versions of some of the looks, including smocks and frill dresses. The childrenswear also highlights knit jumpers, cosy cardigans with pearl shaped-buttons, soft joggers and sweatshirts and a button-through puffer, in pink floral, crafted from recycled polyester. The tartan that runs through the collection reappears on tiny dungarees.Â
