Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, Queen Mother of Thailand, firmly believes in helping those who suffer from poverty and in fostering Thai traditional arts and culture. Honouring Her Majesty on Her Majesty’s birthday this year, a bespoke London clothing brand that clearly loves Thailand has created a very special garment to give thanks back to the community that has lent the brand so much inspiration. Â
If you can recall, we spoke to the creative force behind Eponine London a few months ago, to discuss her latest trip to Thailand. It was indeed on this trip to Chiang Mai and Bangkok at the invitation of our very own Department of International Trade Promotion that founder of Eponine, Jet Shenkman, began formulating The Artisan Dress.Â

Launched on August 12, The Artisan dress is made entirely from hand-embroidered fabrics sourced from rural communities in Thailand. The full proceeds of the first dress sold went to the Queen Mother’s SUPPORT Foundation. Every dress sold after that donates 10 per cent of its profits to the foundation. Â
