The Peri Hotel Opens Its Doors In Hua Hin And Khao Yai | Thailand Tatler

We are launching The Peri Hotels at a difficult time for the world. But it is when life’s simple pleasures are appreciated more than ever.

Standard International’s CEO, Amar Lalvani, explains the latest project between the parent company of the globally famous The Standard hotels and Sansiri, Thailand’s lead luxury property developer. Renovated from the former Sansiri Escape Hotels in Hua Hin and Khao Yai, The Peri Hotels are a new luxury, rich with human touch and soulfulness.

Drawing inspiration from Hemmingway’s The Old Man and The Sea, The Peri Hotel Hua Hin dons a calming white and blue palette while highlighting charming pre-loved wooden floors upcycled from old fishing boats. Upon entry, the amicable staff welcomes you to a cosy lobby with clear glass windows that look out onto an idyllic pool. Lodgers and outside visitors will gather at the hotel’s dining space called Chow Mong, the word for fishermen in Thai. Here you will experience a wholesome culinary experience of both local and international cuisines. Seafood, of course, takes the centre stage in Chow Mong. Congee topped with the whole crab elevates a humble dish to an extravagant one, and fresh catch grilled or steamed guarantees you the taste of Hua Hin.
