By Thailand Tatler December 24, 2019
It’s December 24, the night before Christmas and all of us in Thailand Tatler’s digital and print teams each have something we’re looking forward to tomorrow morning—but whether not or we’ll actually get them is another story. In case Santa didn’t quite get our personal requests, we’ve decided once again to put out our collective Xmas wishlist online so that there’s no room for any slip-up:
The 60th-anniversary edition of The Hobbit, illustrated by Alan Lee and published in 1997, was a book my parents had bought for my elder brother. Being the younger sibling that I am, I stole it from him and ever since then, it’s been an invaluable part of my youth. I have also misplaced it, so for Christmas, all I want is MY book back!

Just think of all the graphics I could spit out next year with the most powerful (and expensive) Mac ever made. Oh, and don’t forget to get me the Pro Display XDR monitor and the monitor stand, too, which need to be bought separately. Thanks in advance, Santa.

For Christmas, I would like Santa to bring me this pair of men’s dress shoes by Jason of Beverly Hills. I’m no fashionista, but I do like a good shoe and these bad boys bring out my inner Imelda Marcos. Handset in white gold with soles made by Tom Ford, they are festooned with over 14,000 round white diamonds and took 2,000 man-hours to craft. At US$2 million, they are the most expensive pair of men’s shoes on the planet. Size 9 please, Santa.

Dear Santa, the iPhone 11 series has been out for months and I’ve not yet managed to get myself a hold of one because I’ve been so busy laying out Thailand Tatler‘s multiple January publications. Help a good girl out?

Dear Santa, I’ve been good for goodness’ sake this year and Bayco Jewels have got a juicy 39-carat Colombian emerald ring called The Pyramid of Wisdom with my name on it. I promise to be good for another year if you get me that.

Dear Santa, I’ve been twice as good as everyone else this year, so I’ve got two things on my wishlist this year: a Steinway & Sons 6’2″ salon grand piano in black—my dream piano, of course—and a Star Wars The Black Series Darth Vader Force FX Lightsaber collectable. Thanks.

They say that when you have kids that everything goes to them. I don’t have kids, but over the course of two years I have acquired three rescue cats and now all I want for Christmas is a robotic kitty litter to do all of the dirty work.

2020 will be the year that we all stay hydrated, eat our veggies, leave behind toxic relationships and take care of our aura and energies. I’d like to get a head start in keeping my chakras aligned with this quartz double point crystal necklace by Jacquie Aiche.

All I want for Christmas is the 11-inch iPad Pro. Oh, and with the smart keyboard please.

Oh, Santa. I’m a simple woman. For Christmas, I’d just like to stay at the Anantara hotel… in Tunisia.

Did I already propose Thai and world peace last year? If yes, then how about a commitment to doing something to reduce personal waste this year?
