Owned by Nepal’s first and only billionaire Binod Chaudhary, Chaudhary Group (CG) Hospitality’s global portfolio of 130 hotels and resorts consists of iconic properties in unique destinations, including Taj Exotica in the Maldives, Jetwing Vil Uyana in Sri Lanka and The Farm at San Benito, Philippines.

A living example of how an entrepreneur can do business in Nepal and emerge as a billionaire, Chaudhary is a strong believer in his drive and dedication, leading him to start a hospitality business in 2001 with the openings of Taj Samudra, Sri Lanka along with two Taj properties in the Maldives.

Over the past 13 years, CG’s fast-growing hospitality wing has joined ventures with Taj, Jetwing and Radisson to expand its hotels and resorts across 11 countries. With 15 years of presence in Dubai through its other businesses, the multinational has established its CG Hospitality headquarters in Dubai to cover the Middle East, Europe and Africa markets.

With an ambition to set a new benchmark for ‘Business Luxury’ in the region, CG Hospitality has opened Taj Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT), the first five-star hotel in the world where Nepal’s national flag flies with pride.
