Worldwide enterprise B.Grimm is celebrating its 140th anniversary in Thailand with a specially curated exhibition, titled “In the Kingdom, 140th Anniversary of B.Grimm”. To be held at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center (BACC) from June 10-20, the exhibition celebrates a longstanding history of official relations shared between Thailand and Germany through a blend of past and present, separated into two parts.

Established in 1878, B.Grimm’s story begins with the opening of the first German pharmacy in Thailand by Bernhard Grimm and Erwin Mueller. In 1903, Adolf Link was hired to manage the store. He was a visionary who would transform the business and ultimately contribute to Thailand’s modernisation. Today, Harald Link sits at the helm of the company as the third generation in a line of talented and influential heads, with his daughter Caroline preparing for her inevitable future role after him.

While much has changed over 140 years, B.Grimm’s philosophy of compassion has not, reflected through both their service as well as social contributions. Leading in numerous industries encompassing energy, healthcare and real estate, B.Grimm continues to dedicate effort into making the world a better place, focusing on improving livelihood, education, culture religion as well as the environment. The Link family in particular has been involved in various programmes dedicated towards improving the livelihood of people in the nation, from sponsoring children’s education to supporting culture through the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra and the Geothe Institute, as well as supporting many organisations under the Royal Patronage.
