Vetoava Unikko jacket and Osuva Unikko trousers Klehtova Klvet dress

I typically shy away from the Marimekko brand, admiring it only from a distance on other people. But this season, the Finnish brand’s Japanese infused collection has won me over with darker colours—lots of black, red and magenta, my favourite combinations—and more shapely silhouettes, such as those clearly inspired by the obi-tied kimono and my favourite look of all: the red and pink Unikko pant-suit set. This is an absolute fall must-have.

The fragrance of the week is the new Gucci Mémoire d’Une Odeur. Meaning “the memory of a scent”, it’s being called a universal fragrance, transcending gender, space and time—it all sounds very Michele. doesn’t it? Gucci accomplishes the prompt by creating a new olfactive family, Mineral Aromatic. In Mémoire d’Une Odeur, Roman chamomile weaves through Indian Coral Jasmine, musks, various woods and a hint of vanilla for one encompassingly soothing scent.

I wasn’t aware I was in need of charming little jewellery until I was invited for a preview of Pandora’s Autumn collection. Highlighting themes of fairy and fantasy, flora and fauna, there’s something for every mood amongst the collection, which includes silver, gold and rose-gold jewellery. My favourites are the rings in the collection, especially the Swirling Lines Ring and the minimal Multifaceted Ring, which I’d probably wear multiples of.

Part of Jacquard, Google’s technology and apparel integration project, the Cit-e backpack is a collaboration of style and function with Yves Saint Laurent made for us “stuff-people” who just can’t seem to reduce our daily carry-on to a micro handbag. The Cit-e backpack connects to the Jacquard app and allows you to control your smartphone by the bag’s smart left strap through swipe movements. While it’s unclear how else the rucksack shines technologically or whether the built-in phone control is a benefit or just a frivolous gimmick, at the end of the day it’s a thousand-dollar sleek, black Saint Laurent backpack.

The Cit-e backpack is in pre-order stage. For more information, visit ysl.com.
