Premiered to the public on October 14 at ATT19 gallery, model-turned-artist Prim Patnasiri’s solo exhibition titled It’s always a changing stream of water before we meet the big blue sea is an emotional narrative about the artist’s personal experiences battling depression, presented in the form of a video installation. The sombre video, which features the artist herself, is narrated by her father’s voice with childhood home video spliced in, making it a truly confronting piece. With an overall message about the importance of mental health, especially for Thai youths, the exhibition is joined by workshops presented by The Nook, Acorn and Associates, Empathy Sauce and Sati, all proponents of mental health awareness in Thailand. The last day to view It’s always a changing stream of water before we meet the big blue sea is November 1.
