Nanbei's New Menu Celebrates Authentic Sichuan Cuisine | Thailand Tatler

Promotion: March 3 – April 30, 2021 (Expired)

Chef Matthew Geng of Nan Bei restaurant at Rosewood Bangkok is proud to present the seasonal menu “A Taste of Sichuan”, available until April 30, 2021. Sichuan province is located in the southwest region of China and is famous for its spicy, aromatic cuisine since ancient times. Today, the world is crazy with mala or the tongue-numbing Sichuan corn pepper, however, chef Matthew will not be serving you such fads. It is the authentic taste of the region you’ll be getting over the next two months at Nan Bei. In his own words, the executive chef says, “there’s much more to Sichaun dishes than just its well-known, numbing peppercorns, and it’s one of my favourite China regional cuisines. These handpicked six dishes not only pay tribute to authentic Sichuan cooking but also highlight the pristine ingredients available here in Thailand.”

A Taste of Sichuan features six dishes, each guaranteed to stimulate your palate. White prawn and fish in sweet and sour sauce, chicken pop with dried chilli and crispy rice with roasted peanuts are just a few proofs of the chef’s impeccable skill. Fish is also a highlight of the new menu; the creamy snow fish melts in your mouth, while the seabass with Sichuan peppers has the unique sweet and earthy scent of the region.
