Ensuring that Christmas and New Year spent in Bangkok is as quality as can be, the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok has pulled out all the stops to raise your holiday spirit through cuisine, drinks and other sensory experiences. If you’re looking for the merriest way to spend the holidays in Bangkok, look no further than the Waldorf Astoria and their many, many F&B offerings this month until the New Year’s. 

Roasted Turbot Lobster Bisque

On December 24, Bull & Bear restaurant on the 55th floor invites you to celebrate Christmas high above Bangkok with a five-course dinner menu specially prepared by chef de cuisine Daniel Masters. Priced at 7,500++ baht per person, enjoy dishes like Alaskan King Crab, Roasted Turbot with oysters and caviar and Japanese Wagyu Saga Striploin A4 with wine pairing. Dinner is available from 5:30pm to 10:30pm. 

The Brasserie

For all-you-can-eat lovers, The Brasserie, just off the lobby, is offering a Christmas Eve Buffet at 3,500++ baht per person, 4,500++ baht with free-flow of house wine and 2,500++ baht for children between ages 6 and 12. The buffet highlights premium seafood, charcuterie and cheese, as well as a variety of yuletide desserts. Main courses can also be cooked to order, included in the price.

Return to Bull & Bear on December 31 for a meal to remember. A whole new five-course set dinner features Foie Gras & Smoked Apple Terrine, Seared Hokkaido Scallop and Black Truffle, Charcoal Grilled Brittany lobster, David Blackmore’s Wagyu Sirloin and Midnight Parfait. Dinner is priced 4,500++ baht per person or 9,000++ baht with wine pairing. 

The Brasserie

The New Year’s Eve Buffet is one way to eat your way to 2021. Enjoy your favourite premium seafood, charcuterie, cheese and desserts, as well as main course highlights like Grilled Tiger Prawn, Classic Roast Turkey Roll, Grilled Wagyu Terderlion and many more. The New Year’s Eve Buffet begins at 6pm onward and is priced 3,900++ baht per person or 5,900++ baht with free-flowing house wines. Children aged 6-12 can enjoy the buffet for 2,500++ baht. 

Front Room

Recently reopened in November with a fantastic down-to-earth Thai concept, the Front Room is ready to serve a full Thai feast priced at 3,000++ baht as your last meal in 2020. The sharing set menu prepared by the talented Front Room team led by sous chef Sarocha Rajatanawin highlights Miang Kleeb Bua Goong Pao (Scarlet Prawn served with Lotus Leaf, Herbs and Coconut Syrup Dressing), Gaeng Phed Tai Gun Chiang Pu (Southern-style Yellow Curry and Crab Meat), Si-Khrong Gae Phrik Gaeng Lueang Yang (Grilled Australian Lamb Rack with Yellow Curry and Coconut Cream) and many more. 

The Loft & The Champagne Bar

Ring in the New Year with your choice of cocktail or bubbly in hand at The Loft or The Champagne Bar. Your last moments of the year will be accompanied by either a live DJ or live band depending on where you end up towards midnight, but it’s best to bring a buddy to countdown with you anyway.

This festive season should be about slowing down and relaxing, and where better to chill than up at The Loft. Let dashing bar manager Michele Montauti take all your worries away with his company and artisanal drinks. Whether you’re drawing a potion from the original 1935 Waldorf Astoria Bar Book or looking for something unchartered, Michele and his team have got you covered. The Loft is open daily from 5pm til late; festive cocktails start at 400++ baht per glass. 

Festive Afternoon Tea set Executive pastry set Andrea Noli

For high tea lovers, Peacock Alley on the upper lobby of the hotel is presenting a very special seasonal tea set that will last only until January 3, 2021. Wanting to give people hope and happiness at the end of a challenging year, executive pastry chef Andrea Noli has devised this set with a lot of thought, coming up with beloved flavours and classic combos that will no doubt warm any heart left hardened by 2020. In the Festive Afternoon Tea set, find delights such as the Lemon & Yuzu Snowman, Mont Blanc Chestnut Tartlette, Santa Claus Raspberry and Vanilla Choux, Ginger Bread Macaron and many, many more. Afternoon tea is served daily from 1pm to 5pm at Peacock Alley and is priced 2,200++ baht per set for two.
