As part of the hotel’s jewels of the crown, the hotel’s top three stories (levels 55-57) feature three distinctive, artistically curated dining outlets, Bull & Bear is connected with The Loft and The Champagne Bar via a grandiose symmetrical staircase which features an intricate black metal and brass balustrade adorned with a gold leaf finish, hand-applied by a local artisan.
The Loft
The Loft evokes the feeling of walking into a New York artist’s studio from a bygone era, stylishly curated to show the artist at work. The well-crafted cocktails take their inspiration from the original 1935 Waldorf Astoria Bar Book. As guests ascend the grand central staircase to The Loft and The Champagne Bar on levels 56 and 57, they are transported through design history from the Art Nouveau to the Art Deco periods.
Taking inspiration from the original 1935 Waldorf Astoria Bar Book, the bar management team have crafted artisanal spirits and forgotten cocktails for the modern palate using an extensive collection of house-made ingredients, accompanied by gourmet bar bites.
A variety of drinks are offered including heavy spirit-based cocktails such as Astoria, a refreshing citrus blend of Beefeater 24 London Gin, house blend dry Vermouth and orange bitters. Those looking for a unique locally inspired tipple can opt for a Waldorf, an exquisite herbal mix of Michter’s Bourbon, Thai-Basil-Mancino sweet Vermouth, chocolate bitters and coriander, or Whiskey Smash, a whiskey-based cocktail with chrysanthemum tincture, tangerine sorbet, mint leaf and lime juice.

For a trip into vintage intimate speakeasy New York complemented by the finest champagnes, visit The Champagne Bar. An artistic jewel on top of the building located on level 57, the intimate 34-seater champagne bar is elegant with meticulous attention to design detail, furnished with vintage glass chandeliers, organic wood sculptures and rocking chairs. Once at The Champagne Bar, a small residential-style counter bar is the focal point, anchored by a vintage chandelier that is centred over an ice chopping block. Guests then flow through the “tasting corridor”, a display cabinet that features intricate art pieces and pull-out drawers to allow for an exclusive tasting of champagne and liquor.
