Not So Fat!

They say things that taste good are always bad for your health—but this is not the case with Au Bon Pain’s bakery. Trans fat free or unsaturated fats are often used in processed food as they help to lengthen the shelf life of the products. They are found in margarine, fast foods and fry-ups and are ranked by nutritionists as the most dangerous of all fats because the human body cannot break them down.  With the Food and Drug Administration of Thailand soon to ban the use of trans fats, Au Bon Pain is already ahead of the curve. Using a zero grams trans fat free recipe, customers can enjoy healthy bakery items from all 37 branches of Au Bon Pain in Bangkok, Pattaya and Rayong.,

1905 Heritage Corner

A quaint, luxurious guesthouse in the historic royal quarter of Bangkok, 1905 Heritage Corner is situated in a pair of two-storey shophouses located on a corner within a preserved square of similar colonial-era buildings originally surrounding a prince’s palace (Phraeng Phuthon). Quiet at night but bustling in the daytime, this fascinating area is home to an active Sino-Thai community of family merchants and restaurateurs, very much as it was in the past. Comprising three guest rooms, every effort has been made to restore the interior and refurnish all aspects of the guesthouse to the original style of the early 19th century. The reception area, where breakfast is served, re-creates the building’s original function as a fashionable teahouse for the gentry.
