Bukit Timah Railway Station
Old, torn and filled with overgrown greenery, the disused Bukit Timah Railway station is an abandoned relic of Singapore’s old transportation system and an instagrammer’s paradise. Full of nostalgia and quaint colonial vibes, this is where you’ll get your envy-inducing snap, or maybe even a whole new profile pic. For the best shot, walk over to the section with the cast iron bridge and stand in the center for the perfect backdrop.
Fort Gate, Fort Canning Park
Having an abundance of lush greenery in the midst of a thriving metropolis is part of what makes Singapore such a special city. To really revel in the flourishing plant life—not to mention fresh air we rarely enjoy here in Bangkok—visit Fort Canning Park. For the best photo opp, be sure to find the Fort Gate, where you’ll find yourself in an almost surreal cave swathed by lush greenery.
Singapore ArtScience Museum
People usually go to the Singapore Art Museum and end up skipping this one, but the Singapore ArtScience Museum contains a hidden gem: The Future World Exhibit. A blend of art and cutting-edge tech, the space is adventurous and creative. While a lot of the exhibitions might be more kid-friendly, you really cannot miss out on Future World. High-tech, interactive and magical, the exhibition gives you art and top notch digital media in a futuristic world created by none other than the renowned teamLab.
Right by the romantic Singapore river, Kampong Glam gives you a vibrant neighbourhood full of colourful walls and art deco architecture. Get lost in alleyways with small vintage shops and cute cafes, or visit the gorgeous Mosque that looms over the area. Vibrant pops of colour, retro vibes and the fun, laid-back vibes guarantees you good photos and a great time.
