A resident of Thailand for more than two decades, Finola Chatamra is among the few foreigners to have been recognised with the title of Khunying. The Briton helped her husband, cancer specialist Dr Kris, set up the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer where she is a full-time volunteer. An editor of the Royal Society of Thailand Journal, she also coordinates QSCBC’s annual national breast cancer awareness campaign and supports the QSCBC Foundation’s Pink Park Village Hospice and Convalescence home. The couple have one son, William, who is studying in the UK.
