Celebrating Women in Art

Following the UN’s HeForShe Art Week and “La Femme”, Bangkok’s first international women’s art exhibition, the city isn’t stopping in its effort to support women in the industry. Akin Asia and Goethe-Institut are hosting a panel discussion to not just celebrate female artists but also their thoughts on artists as creative entrepreneurs. Event speakers include Atta Gallery owner Atty Tantivit, visual artist Karm Sirikogar and art curator Nikan Wasinondh. Purchase tickets to the discussion here

European Union Film Festival 2017

The EU Film Fest is annual cinematic affair movie buffs plan their schedule around. From this Friday until Sunday, May 28, 13 films from 11 EU member states will be showing at SF World Cinema. A Creature Apart by Rook Floro

Immerse yourself in a medley of colourful sculptures, paintings, photography, video and installations by Thai-Filipino artist Rook Floro. Opening this Saturday at 4pm, the show is a collective representation of one of the artist’s alter ego, Blastard, slowly morphing into another, Corvus. Rook attempts to capture the moments in between the two personas.
