Successfully running one business is more than enough for many people but not for Harvard Business School graduate Jainnisa Kuvinichkul. The ambitious 38-year-old is the founder and CEO of M Essentials and popular dessert venue, Candy Crepe. She is also the director of Metta Group and for the past 10 years, she has served as executive director of family-owned Alumet, one of Thailand’s leading aluminium manufacturers. Running the family business is no piece of cake. “When I entered the company, I was in charge of sales and marketing and practically everything else while we tried to revamp the business as a whole,” she says. “The aim was to modernise all aspects from branding to marketing to project operations.”
But of her own pursuits? M Essentials, founded back in 2010, which specialises in healthcare and spa products is under Metta Group, the name meaning kindness, which in many ways is a reflection of Jainnisa’s work philosophy. Through her business, she is determined to make the world a happier and healthier place. What drives and motivates her is procuring a sense of happiness in others through her products. She plans to expand her pursuits to joint ventures with companies in the USA, India and China and hopes to raise awareness of the local spa product industry internationally through her Thai-inspired offerings.
Jainnisa is grateful for her success, which has taught her a great deal about how to run not one business but several. Looking ahead, she plans to help society more. “I give back in my own way,” she says. For now, she organises workshops in order to give the community more knowledge on how to run a business. “Things can get overwhelming at times,” she admits, “but gradually, you learn to better manage your time.” There is no doubt the lady is kept constantly busy. If she were to escape her hectic schedule, it would be to an exotic island with white sand and blue seas. “I love the beach,” she says, adding with a laugh, “if it’s a beautiful peaceful island somewhere remote, I could definitely stay there a while.”
