Overlooking the green sward of the Royal Bangkok Sports Club, the subtle elegance of the appropriately named Royal Suite at the St Regis provided the perfect backdrop for our anniversary issue cover shoot with Korakot Srivikorn, executive director of Gaysorn Village.
Casually dressed yet exuding inborn grace, Korakot arrived, accompanied by a small team of colleagues led by Jirath Vattanapataraset, vice president of communications and customer relations at Gaysorn Property.
The shoot itself began quietly but the initially camera-shy Korakot soon relaxed and started to make the occasional little joke. As the afternoon progressed, everyone moved to the hotel’s Decanter bar for the next set of images. Furnished in deep purple and dark wood, the bar’s interior forms a striking contrast with the natural light pouring in through picture windows. The juxtaposition brought to mind the two sides of Korakot herself: the strength of the modern working woman and the genteel aspect of a loving wife.
Moving back to the Royal Suite, we enjoyed canelés and macarons from the 1823 Tea Lounge by Ronnefeldt, kindly provided by the Gaysorn team. After our final set of photos, we were able to get some fun snaps of Korakot and her team in playful mode, before wrapping up the day with an entertaining video interview with her.
