1. Karen Davila

Broadcast journalist

Throughout her over three-decade career, Karen Davila earned acclaim for fearlessly tackling critical issues and holding powerful people accountable, solidifying her status as one of the country's most esteemed journalists. Davila guides the day's news agenda on ABS-CBN News Channel’s Headstart and co-hosts TV Patrol by night.

The multi-awarded broadcaster recently added Best News Anchor at the Asian Academy Creative Awards and Most Outstanding Female News Anchor at the fifth Gawad Lasallianeta to her roster of awards. She also became the first UN Women Goodwill Ambassador from the Philippines, signalling more achievements on the horizon.

2. Vicky Belo

Doctor and entrepreneur

Dr Victoria “Vicki” Belo, founder and CEO of Belo Medical Group, has pioneered beauty breakthroughs in surgical and non-surgical procedures for over 30 years, cementing her reputation as a trailblazing visionary in her industry.

Belo was one of only 10 aesthetic physicians worldwide to share guidelines on reopening aesthetics clinics post-pandemic as published in the International Journal of Dermatological Therapy. Last year, her Group showed its mastery of aesthetic science with two co-authored papers presented during the International Master Course on Ageing Science (IMCAS) World Congress at the Palais des Congres in Paris, France.

3. Alice Eduardo

4. Hidilyn Diaz

Olympic weightlifter

Hidilyn Diaz’s historic golden victory at the Tokyo Olympics brought pride and glory to the Philippines, particularly to Filipinas who were made to believe that weightlifting is exclusive to men. Her journey from humble beginnings to Olympic gold medallist is a testament to the power of perseverance, determination, and sheer grit.

As the 55 kg weight division, previously her category, was removed from the 2024 Paris Olympics, Diaz will focus on competing in the 59kg class, proving her commitment to conquering seemingly unwinnable odds in her field.

5. Margarita Forés
