When Apinara Srikarnchana joined her family’s company, Asia insurance PCL, at the age of 23, the ambitious go-getter knew deep down that she was destined to have her own business. A few months later, a new venture caught her eye: a personal driver service to tackle the problem of drink-driving fatalities in Bangkok. Apinara played a crucial role in getting U Drink I Drive off the ground by joining as a co-founder in 2014. Today, it operates around 10,000 rides each month in Bangkok. this year the 29-year-old was formally recognised by Save The Children for a project she’s been quietly involved in for the last five years, Road Safety for Kids. Working with helmet manufacturers, schools and law enforcement, Apinara is passionate about eradicating child fatalities caused by not wearing a helmet.
