Anon Pairot

Like architect Duangrit Bunnag, Anon has fingers in many creative pies and forthright opinions that occasionally bubble into mainstream media. The founder of the eponymous Anon Pairot Design Studio, this acclaimed furniture and product designer is proving his worth as a creative chameleon, having branched out confidently into the roles of gallerist and artist. Named Young Designer of the Year in the 2015 Elle Decoration Design Awards, Anon’s latest venture is a gallery called Schemata, which aims to showcase the works of up-andcoming Thai artists. In addition to his commercial practice he has worked with the government on Thai design promotion and recently flew the flag for contemporary Thai art and design by exhibiting his famous full-sized hand-woven rattan ‘Chiang Rai Ferrari’ car as part of the Islands in the Stream exhibition at the 57th Venice Biennale.

Definition of success: Doing the right thing at the right time with the right people.
