Every year, August 12 marks a particularly significant day for Thai people, as it is a day we stop and take a moment to celebrate other mothers. It is also the day we celebrate the birthday of the mother of our nation, the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. In commemoration of HM Queen Sirikit’s 86th birthday, Siam Paragon hosted celebratory activities in collaboration with Siam Commercial Bank Credit Card as well as the Promotion of Supplementary Occupations and Related Technique of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand. The activities ran from August 10–16, and were organised to invite Thai people to celebrate the Queen’s graciousness as well as extend their heartfelt congratulations.

An exhibition titled ‘The Queen’s Support and Encouragement to the Land of Siam’ was also held to reflect on the generosity of Queen Sirikit towards Thai people during the reign of King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The exhibition illustrated the Queen’s commitment to the country, including her efforts in the preservation, promotion and revival of Thai traditional fabrics. A grand opening ceremony was held for the exhibition on August 10, honourably led by Siam Paragon’s executive Mayuree Chaipromprasith, SCB credit card executive Pitipom Phanaphat as well as leading designers such as BOYY’s Napat Suthithon and 56th Studio’s Saran Yenpanya. Prestigious guests and notable Thai celebrities gathered at the event to show their support and love towards the nation’s mother, including names such as Tipaporn Ajanant, MR Mannarumas Yugala Svasti-xuto and Pavenelak Limpichart.
