August 31 - September 1 saw an exciting crowd gathered at Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin. One wouldn’t have expected to see Pan Pan Narkprasert (AKA the stunning RuPaul of Thailand), Hubba’s CEO and half the brains behind Techsauce Amarit Charoenphan and culinary maestro Pichaya Utharntharm (AKA chef Pam) at the same event, but that’s exactly what went down last weekend.

Gathered to celebrate the unveiling of the Generation T 2018 list—Thailand Tatler’s annual definitive list of 50 game changers aged under 40, shaping our country’s future—were young, disruptive talents, entrepreneurs and creatives there for a weekend of laid-back networking.

The honourable Generation T 2018 listers were joined by none other than Thailand Tatler’s chairman Nigel Oakins, editor-in-chief Naphalai Areesorn, head of digital Mika Apichatsakol, as well as high society guests and a few of the seasoned industry veterans that make up the Tatler Tribe which helped to nominate the Generation T listers.

Guests enjoyed a weekend of adrenalin-filled fun at the Vana Nava Water Park and exclusive spa sessions by Cle de Peau Beaute, before the event highlight—the great reveal of which 50 names are making waves in Thailand’s various industries. Lee Williamson, regional editor of Generation T, flew in directly from Hong Kong to give an insightful keynote speech. The evening was full of mingling and unlimited servings of the specially curated Generation T cocktail. The event ended with a finale at the hotel’s latest rooftop bar opening—the Vana Nava Sky—where guests indulged in free-flow cocktails, fresh oysters and live music performances.
