Bangkok Fashion Society (BFS) returned for the eighth time with another highly-anticipated fashion showcase, a collaborative effort of the 10 Thai labels in this power alliance: Asava, ASV, Victeerut, T and T, Patinya, Greyhound Original, Milin, Kloset, Painkiller and Issue. Unveiling each of the brands' latest Spring/Summer collections for 2018, this "fashion installation" was purposely integrated into this year's Bangkok Design Week, hosted at TCDC at the General Post Office.
The BFS exhibition was included as a way to raise awareness of the skills and ingenuity of local Thai designers—one step closer to promoting Thai design to a global scene. Instead of setting a fixed theme for this year’s event, each of the brands presented their own unique direction for the new year freely, setting the tone for increased independence and self-expression in the Thai fashion scene. Attending the event were esteemed fashion journalists and known fashion enthusiasts in society, and of course the designers themselves—all of who are well known figures in the sphere themselves, such as Polpat Asavaprapha of ASAVA and ASV, Greyhound's Suthida Verangkabutra, Milin Yuvacharaskul and Issue's Bhubawit Kritpholnara—were proudly in attendance.
