Thailand is continously gaining reputation as the region’s hub for luxury merchandising, and the opening of ICONSIAM recently this year has only propelled the point. As a one-of-a-kind luxury destination in Southeast Asia and a shining emblem of Thailand’s prosperity on the Chao Phraya River, at the epi-centre of the glory is ICONLUXE, a section of the shopping destination that is exclusively dedicated to premium commodities from all over the world. Here's what you need to know about ICONSIAM's ICONLUXE.

What Is ICONLUXE

In ICONLUXE are global designer labels such as Hermès, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Bvlgari, Ferragamo, Versace, Alexander McQueen, Patek Philippe and Cartier, to name a few. What makes ICONLUXE more worthwhile than any other locale in the world housing the same brands under one roof however is that for the first time ever, the boutiques come in the form of fully fledged flagships customised with elements of Thainess.

First Times In Thailand

While ICONLUXE hosts the best from the global luxury market—all of which you are probably very familiar with—there are remarkably many first time achievements in their presence at ICONLUXE in ICONSIAM that make them stand apart.  These accomplishments truly bring the best of Thailand to the best of the world. Here are a few to note...

Hermès

This is the French fashion house's first duplex store in Thailand, with an area of 368 square metres. The space is decorated with Hermès’ iconically elegant palette and, for the first time in Thailand, displays the brand's home furniture collection and equestrian paraphernalia for purchase.

Salvatore Ferragamo

Salvatore Ferragamo also has its biggest store in the country at ICONLUXE, covering over 190 square metres. The stores's decor is unique with textured wallpaper and hand-painted murals that together convey the brand's Italian heritage and love of blending art with innovation. When visiting, be sure to take a close look at the red Salvatore Ferragmo Quilted Gancini bag, housed in the store. Featuring the signature Gancini lock and pattern, only a limited number of this striking bag exists around the world and this one is the only one of its kind in Thailand.

Versace

VERSACE.jpgAt ICONLUXE, Versace has fashioned its boutique with the tallest double door ever made in the brand’s history worldwide.  The brand's concept of bringing the old and the new together is reflected through the space and the products, such as the timepieces, attires for both sexes, shoes and perfumery.  When visiting the space, don't forget to scope out the chair at the heart of the room as it was designed specifically for ICONSIAM.

Dior

ICONLUXE's Dior boutique is also the fashion brand's latest store in Thailand. What is most notable about this store is the presence of Dior Men,  one of  few in Thailand. Dior at ICONLUXE is ready to offer shoppers with a wider breadth of bags, clothing, shoes and accessories. To amp the excitement even more, commemorating the boutique's launch, Dior brought in the highly acclaimed Lady Dior As Seen By exhibition to put on display for the first time ever in Thailand. Experience this celebration of Dior's iconic Lady Dior bag, reimagined by artists all over the world,  from now until January 20, 2019.

A Brand DNA That Includes Thainess

ICONSIAM holds fast to its premise of bring "the best of Thailand to meet the best of the world". As mentioned before, several of the brands located in ICONLUXE have uniquely integrated Thainess into their stores ,offering a stunning bricolage of brand identity with Thai DNA not to be overlooked on your trip to ICONSIAM. Here are some of such stores you should take note of...

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton’s design team collaborated with Thai designer Ploenchan “Mook” Vinyaratn to create a one-of-a-kind retail experience at the ICONLUXE boutique. Inside the store is a display table inspired by Thai pagodas, reimagined with  Louis Vuitton’s iconic monogram. The ceiling inside is also decked with a piece titled "The River of Kings”—an artistic blend of indigenous woven fabric, Thai silk, gold thread, crochet and cassette tapes that renders an undulating movement resembling the ripples of the Chao Phraya River.

Cartier

At ICONLUXE, Cartier's fine jewellery craftsmanship is honoured through a beautiful frame of Thai culture that visitors definitely should not miss out on. All the furniture in the space is upholstered with Thai silk. Take note of the store's chandelier, which is inspired by the form of the lotus flower and the doorways of the store derived from Thai architecture.
